Langston’sHeating & Air

Why Northeast Florida homeowners call Langston’s

You get the owner

Not a dispatcher, not a rotating crew. The person who diagnoses it is the person accountable for it.

Price before the work

Flat-rate repair pricing approved by you before a single part comes off the truck.

Licensed & insured in Florida

Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor CMC1251311, EPA 608 Universal certified, insured on every job.

Local, across 8 counties

Jacksonville-based, covering eight Northeast Florida counties — not a franchise routing your call out of state.

How it works

Three steps, and the quote comes first

Never finance a number nobody has measured. The order below exists for your protection, not our convenience.

01

Measured visit and written quote

We measure the existing system and the house, then write up the equipment, the scope of work, and the price. Model numbers, tonnage, and SEER2 rating are on it. That number is what you would finance.

02

Choose a lender and apply

You pick from the options below, or use your own credit union. The lender reviews your application and tells you whether you are approved and on what terms. We are not part of that decision.

03

Schedule the installation

Once financing is in place, the work gets booked to match the written quote — the same scope, the same equipment, the same price.

Lenders

Four routes. The lender sets the terms.

Approval, rates, term length, and any promotional conditions come from the lender. Ask them for those details in writing and read them before signing.

Synchrony

Consumer financing widely used for home equipment. Often offers promotional periods — read what the rate becomes when that period ends.

GreenSky

Home-improvement financing. Application is typically quick, with terms set by the lender based on your credit profile.

Wisetack

Home-services financing built for shorter projects. Shows total repayment up front, which makes comparison easier.

Your credit union

Worth checking first if you already belong to one. A home-improvement loan from your own credit union frequently beats promotional contractor financing on total cost.

Before you apply

Five things worth checking while it is still a choice

This is the part a contractor has no incentive to tell you. Read it anyway.

  • Compare the total you will repay, not the monthly payment. A longer term always looks cheaper per month and usually costs more overall.
  • Read what happens when a promotional period ends. Deferred-interest products can add back the whole deferred amount if the balance is not cleared in time.
  • Ask how the application affects your credit, and whether pre-qualification is a soft pull.
  • Check your credit union first. You may already be a member, and home-improvement rates there are often lower than promotional contractor financing.
  • Keep the written quote with your loan documents, so what was financed and what was installed can be matched later.

Questions

Financing, answered plainly

FL Certified Mechanical Contractor CMC1251311 · EPA 608 Universal certified

Does applying affect my credit?

Ask the lender directly before you apply — some run a soft pull to pre-qualify and a hard pull only on acceptance, and others do not. The answer varies by lender and by product, so get it from them rather than from us.

Do you mark the price up for financed jobs?

No. The written quote is the written quote. The amount you finance is the same number you would pay by any other method.

Can I finance a repair instead of a replacement?

Financing is generally structured around system replacements. For a repair, it is usually worth asking whether the repair is the better buy at all — on a system with life left, a repair often costs a fraction of replacement.

What happens if the quote changes after I am approved?

It should not. You get the quote first, then apply for that amount. If something genuinely unforeseen turns up once work starts, the work stops and you get the revised scope and price to approve before anything continues.

What customers say

The reviews that matter are the ones about what actually got fixed

Not stock photos and slogans — specific jobs, specific outcomes, from homeowners and property managers across Northeast Florida.
